More Redecorating... with the Master Punk!!

Another long weekend working on the house... even had Niddles repairing our windows ;o) he made a few grumpy noises but deep down I think he had fun - even if it was deep deep down!!

The Alex punk reckons I can't actually say that we spent the weekend redecorating - he doesn't think that taking photos counts... hmmm what about gardening and cooking???

Just need to choose a colour for the bedroom now and then all done - well nearly, will need to wait for Katherine's return (something to do with window coverings???)

The Mighty Clutha Sunrise ;o)

Yip even the Clutha can turn out pretty cool sunrises... and even more surprising the punks can be up early enough to catch them!!

Would you trust him??

Captain Alex learning to fly ;o) Passed another exam... not long now and we'll have to buy him a hat!! xxx

Flying to Takaka and Return

Here are some pics from our flight to Takaka. Was a great adventure to be able to fly up for the night ;o) Although it wasn't without its dramas!! Not so sure if I am so keen on flying around the Alps and also am certainly not so keen on dropping 200m in the sky!! TWICE!!

Def made for a rather scarey flight home - was trying to be brave but alas it turns out I am not a very good actress - Captain Alex was his usual sure and claim self and flew us home safe and sound... another reason to be very proud!!

Love ya bab be xxx

Punk of many talents...

Just a quick snap to let you know that we haven't forgot the spare room... Alex spent the arvo sanding back his gib-stopping! after a few tips from Frazer I think he picked it up pretty quick! Not much stands in this punk's way... look out for updated pics of yet another fabulous room in Lewin Street! ;o)

Lunching Lesmahagow Style

What better way to spend a gorgeous day in the sunny south?? Popped over home for this fantastic display of food and ma certainly didn't let us down... sure am going to miss the old focker ;o)

And to top it all off the punk and the old focker are having a cook off tonight - Indian style. Alex is busy cooking up a storm at the moment and i am sure ma will be too... 7pm is the dead line and we get to be the judges! ;O)

We even made it to the Bridge

Next sight to take in was the bridge... not happy to just admire it from afar and too poor after days of shopping to climb it, the only option was to take the path through the Rocks and walk across!

And even if the lazy punk doesn't mind saying the effort was well worth it.

As we wandered through the Rocks the sun was setting and the closer we got to the bridge the Sydney skies changed from clear blue to very (romantic) red.
And just as we made it to the middle of the bridge the sun set... we were left with the stunning Sydney view...

and those around (behind) us were given an extra spectacular view which I am sure would of made their trip memorable (for all the right reasons!!!)

After going this high we decided we may as well go one better and took the lift up the Sydney Sky Tower. Amazing to see all the lights of Sydney!! Thanks BJ & Solfrid again for such a wonderful break and we will miss not having you close enough to just pop over for the weekend! love ya xxxx

Punks and Brady Bunch are let out!!

When the headaches subsided a touch and the BBQ was devoured the crew were let out to wander the streets and relax in Circular Quay...
Jack and Oliver joined the crew and much to our delight and entertainment when one of the Buskers scanned the crowd for a 'big strong lad' he spotted Jack.

Jack was doing his best to look small but alas his attempts were in vain and he was dragged up to take centre stage. (Just secretly I think the Punk was trying his hardest to look big!)

Was some light entertainment for the slightly seady looking bunch and I think Jack escaped unscathed ;)

"THE PARTY"

After the adventures of shopping we were in a mad rush to get ready for the engagement party... luckily we are not ones to fluff about and understand the importance of time ;o) so managed to get dolled up with plenty of time to spare! The taxi didn't even have to wait for us!

The night was a great success with plenty of drinks and food flowing ;o) So many drinks in fact that the lady punk even managed to be the queen of the pool table for a short while!!

Had a great time meeting BJ & Solfrid's friends and catching up with the rellies.

As the night wore on Moria had her work cut out for her keeping her eye on her daughters, Olivia was keen to hit the dance floors and well one of the punks just wanted to grab a burger.

Congratulations BJ & Solfrid!! You make a mighty fine couple and have lots of wonderful friends and family who are rightly very proud of you both!! We are very excited for you both and can't wait for more celebrations in Norway ;o)

The Punk Hits The Streets... and The Trains... and The Harbour ... and the Beaches ;o)

HOW TO BUY A BODY-BOARD 101

Step One: persuade girl-friend to spend the day together exploring the sights and sounds of Sydney.

Step two: get on bus and stand trapped among heaps of smelly strangers for 30mins

Step three: wait at train station standing in front of Station Name with goofy look on face to make girlfriend feel happy and like the tourist you are pretending she is

Step Four: get on Train

Step Five: get on ferry (no time for lunch or looking at opera house)

Step Six: Wait for another bus to arrive and have another tourist photo taken in front of beach

Step Seven: Jump on bus and wonder if heading right direction, converse with Busdriver and ask him if he knows where the best bodyboarding shop in the country is?

Step eight: get off bus and jump for joy in finding the most amazing bodyboarding shop

Step nine: Take girlfriend for burger and fries while contemplating purchase

Step Ten: Take geeky photo... must remember not to show friends how much of a geek I am ;o) bugger... looks like girlfriend has ruined that for me!!

Step Eleven: Spend hours deciding on the perfect board

Step Twelve: Bus ride home

Step Thirteen: Time to sit on beach and contemplate future waves in the deep south

Step Fourteen: Ferry home - girlfriend insists on another photo... something to do with Opera??

Step Fifteen: Grab hold of camera and make girlfriend look like the tourist she is ...

Step sixteen: treat girlfriend to wine and more fries for being so kind and caring

Step seventeen: repeat steps 1-4 in reverse order

Ladies hit the streets

Armed with a loaded up Visa the lady punk hit the streets of Sydney with a vengeance!

Nothing was going to get in the way of some serious shopping - unfortunately things didn't start as planned and after hours of hunting for the perfect suit I gave up and hit the shoes shops with ma instead and instantly spotted two little numbers that I just had to have... well I didn't have to have them both until Solfrid convinced that I may as well seeing I didn't find the 'Suit'. So buy two pairs I did... and yes... the very next shop there was my perfect suit ;o) I didn't take much convincing to "buy it"!!

And after that there was no stopping.... until the credit card stopped ;o)

Punks hit Sydney

Well we arrived in Sydney and were straight into action. After a few quiet bevvies at Moate Avenue we ended down the street for some delicious Spanish Tapas served with ATTITUDE!!

The food kept flowing and the attitude never stopped - and with us all having such a relaxing time no one stopped to check who was drinking all the wine and sangria.....

and the lady serving all the attitude....

Ma certainly looked like she was in holiday mode and enjoying the food...

But the punk didn't warn us that she enjoyed so much Sangria till later...

Love ya ma and thanks BJ & Solf for a very welcoming first night xxx

and more..... with glimpse of bathroom

and more....

and that is all... for now ;o)

Scenic Flight with the Fockers

Well it had to happen... the Fockers came for a flight with the Punks. Was looking a bit doubtful if we would get up in the air or not as there was low cloud everywhere which was stopping us from cruising up to central.

However not one to let cloud stand in his way Captain Alexis cleverly navigated the skies and before we knew it we were in crystal clear skies with spectacular views everywhere.

Think the Nana punk was most impressed that we just "flew up" to visit.

After dropping the old fockers in Alex the Punks hightailed it Wanaka for a leisurely lunch with Em & Dan. I could get used to this lifestyle I think ;o)

First Flight

What a better way to spend the Monday evening than taking a scenic flight over the nuggets ;o)

These are from Alexis first flight as Pilot-in-Command! Was pretty breathtaking - it was just before the sun set so was getting pretty gray and dark. Still had time to spot the waves though.

Was very proud and once we had landed safely had a quick trip to the supermarket to get some bubbles!
